Top 6 Books I Hope Santa Brings

Two weeks in a row -- I'm joining in with Top Ten Tuesday post, hosted by the wonderful ladies at The Broke and the Bookish.  Each week bloggers share a list based on a particular theme, and this week's topic is one of my end-of-the-year favourites: books that I hope Santa brings.  I have two bookish gifts waiting for my under the tree, and my husband was supplied with a bookish wish list, so here's hoping that some of these will materialize on Christmas morning!

1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - Illustrated Edition
2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Illustrated Edition
I picked up the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when I saw it at Costco, but never realized that the other two editions had been for sale at Costco (or maybe they were and I just didn't see them?)  In any case, when Marko is old enough, I'd like to read these editions with him, as I think the illustrations will really help to bring the story to life.

3. Vicious by V.E. Schwab
This is probably the #1 book on my wish list this year.  After reading, and loving two of her other series, I can't wait for more of her books in my life.

4. The Archived by Victoria Schwab
I was on the fence about giving this series a shot, but I think I just love her books so much that I need to own them all.

5. Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
I ADORED Little Fires Everywhere, and I've heard that Celeste's first book is just as good.

6. La Belle Sauvage by Phillip Pullman
I loved His Dark Materials so much that I got one of the worst sunburns of my life while reading those books.  I was so enamoured by the story that I lost track of time and forgot to apply more sunscreen.

How about you?  Which books are you hoping to find under the tree this year?

  1. Ooh I'd love the illustrated HP editions! Vicious is on my 2018 TBR, so I hope you get it and that we both enjoy it. And I hope you get and enjoy The Archived too.

    1. Sadly, the illustrated Harry Potter books were not under my tree, but I just ordered them both -- yippee! My hubby got me Vicious, and I cannot WAIT to read it!

I love comments! I will always return the favour whenever I can!!
